Project description and results


Provide a brief overview of the main objectives and content (subjects, training areas, target groups, countries and content of training programs, etc..), And the results of planned project: LLP-LdV/IVT/2010/RO / 141
The project addressed to high school students from the technologically progressive route at  Technical profile, specialty Technician operator  on CNC machines, Level 3 of training terminal year ,XIII class. The project aim was to train students in skills related of working on  CNC tool machines . Students participating in the project  were prepared using new technologies in the field of their specialty  to be competitive in the labor market. All students of class XIII technical profile, specialty Technician operator on  CNC machines of George Cartianu Technical College from  Piatra Neamt undertaken  a training program divided in  three modules:
First module : a general training module about Leonardo da Vinci program ,the mobility  project and , lasting 16 hours
 Module 2 language training to facilitate communication in English with a duration of 100 hours and
 Module 3, cultural training with the duration of 43 hours to know the rules of behavior in the hosting organization, in Turkey, to understand the culture of this country.
After finishing the preparation phase the group realized the mobility in high school Selcuklu VE TEKNIK Endüstri MESLEK LISESI from Konya . In this institution the  students had a practical training stage  with the duration of  2 weeks between 17 to 30 May 2011.
The 14 participating  students were  chosen based on criteria that included professional performance and the  communication skills .
During the mobility in Turkey the  students had achieved  20 hours of practical training and 30 laboratory hours for the module Maintenance of CNC tool machines and  10 hours of practical training for the  module Fault detection. The two modules are parts of the  compulsory curriculum for the qualification Technician operator on CNC machines that they had to achieve in XIII class.
The main objective of this mobility project was that the students acquire the skills and the know how provided by the curriculum, learn  to communicate better in an international language for their work , develop skills of  team work with  people from different  countries , to socialize with the Turkish  colleagues and to enrich their general knowledge about the cultural values of the  region ​​they visited.
The project addressed to the following general objectives of Leonardo da Vinci program:
-Increasing the quality and volume of people moving around Europe involved in initial vocational training  by the mobility of a group of  14 students.
 -Encourage learning of foreign languages ​​by  preparation of the target group for communication in English during the training program but also for socializing with other students in  Turkey.
-Promoting quality of education in the  initial vocational training by setting evaluation criteria in ECVET therms for the competencies acquired during mobility and by issuing  Europass Certificates .
-Provide support for development of tools and mechanisms and improve access to education and initial vocational training through the use of innovative teaching methods during both linguistic and cultural preparation of the target group before and during the mobility.
Expected results :
-Each participant to obtain an Europass Certificate after the internship training for recognition of the acquired competences in the country of origin and in  the country that hosted the mobility;
-All the students participating in the  mobility to achieve good results in the graduation exam for  skills certification in the job Technician Operator on CNC machines;
-The students participating in mobility are expected  to be competitive on the labor market after leaving school.

Assess to what extent the results met the goals specified in the project proposal.
Results:
 Each participant received an Europass  Certificate. To obtain this certificate students were evaluated at the end of the training for the recognition of acquired skills by commission  composed of teachers from the sending organization and from the  host institution .
After the practical stage in Turkey students have made their  projects for graduation and certification of professional competencies . They proved they have good  professional skills in the job Technician Operator on CNC machines in front of a local examining commission . All students have achieved good results in this exam and were assessed with  Certificates of Professional Competencies in the job Technician Operator on CNC Machines . This resulp prooves tat the echieved experience will help them to be good profssionals in their job .
The students participating to the mobility will be competitive on the labor market after finishing school.
They developed communication competencies in the social environment they worked in by realizing friendship connections with the new colleagues .
These results are a testament to the fact that the project purpose and objectives were achieved.
Explain briefly the benefits of the mobility project for the participants and how their skills have been validated.
Students participating in mobility enjoyed in high school Selcuklu TEKNIK VE Endüstri MESLEK LISESI the benefits of an advanced vocational and technical educational system adequate with the requirements of the European Quality System .During the internship training they  have benefited from the modern facilities in  workshops and laboratories of the host institution . The practical training was based on modern methods and technologies specific to their training speciality. To test students’ skills were used simulators and educational CNC machine tools.
Beneficiaries have learned to work better in their jobs, learned new techniques and methods have gained more self confidence. They now believe that their professional training will bring success in the future, and have expanded their general education by learning about a rich , totally different culture, they  had learned to work in another country, to respect  the working hours and the labor relations.

After this experience they are ready to make the transition from school to active life.They  have developed communication skills in English. Students participating in this mobility have become aware that they can work in a well prepared team and that they can handle a job in any company in the field they are prepared ,they are able to socially  integrate into  a new work place .
